At the Cervia salt pan, cycles of life echo one another on an intra-planetary journey between subjects large and small. Established to produce what was once the most widespread natural preservative, salt, the Cervia salt pan is now a sanctuary for a unique ecosystem, controlled by human visitors through their labour and leisure.
